How do I request a child dedication at Solid Rock?
Child Dedications are held four times each year on the third Sunday of January, April, July, and October. This ceremony is held during our 11:00am service.

Ask your family and friends who may be visiting us for the first time to see an usher at the door when they arrive. Our ushers will be glad to escort them so that they may sit together.
  • Step 1: There are two ways you can submit your request. You need only select one, please do not use both:

    • Online: You may submit your request electronically using the online form below.

    • Manually: You may also print out the form, complete it by hand, and drop it off at our church office.

  • Step 2: That's it! Your request will be reviewed for approval. You will be notified by the church for confirmation.

Note: You must submit your online or paper form at least 2 weeks prior to the date you selected.

What is the significance of dedicating a child?
A child dedication is a public statement of the commitment made by the parents to instruct their children in the ways of the Lord. This is accomplished through active participation with your children concerning God's Word, worship, and prayer.

Dedication is not the same as Salvation
Dedicating a child does not grant them salvation. Salvation comes only by their individual profession if faith in Jesus Christ. However, by fulfilling this commitment, you will be helping your child on his or her journey towards Christ.

The Bible tells us in Deuteronomy 6:5-7, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."
