Pastor Orlando Rodriguez leads a team of 15 individuals from our Solid Rock Youth Ministry on a missions trip to the Dominican Republic.
Follow their Journey and Pray
On Sunday, March 28, Pastor Tom Stimpson led the congregation in prayer for the team of 15 that will be traveling on this missions trip. Please keep these individuals in prayer throughout this week so that the Lord may surround them with his presence, fill them with His peace, and His power.
We pray that the people there may look at them and know that they have been with the Master, and may His annointing flow through them to meet the needs of those who cross their paths. And lastly, may He bring them home safely with wonderful experiences to share.
The travel itinerary below is provided for you to follow where and when the team will be travelling within Tábara Arriba.
Local date and time in the Dominican Republic is:
Monday, March 29
Departure from New York: Arriving at Aeropuerto de Las Américas, Dominican Republic at 11:13am. Team will be met at the airport and driven 70 miles to the town of Tábara Arriba in the Province of Azua where they will be ministering and dedicating the majority of their time.
Tuesday, March 30 - Saturday, April 3
Team begins ministry in Tábara Arriba: The Solid Rock Team will be joining forces with a local Church of God to minister to the people of Tábara Arriba, and distributing clothing and supplies collected and packaged at Solid Rock to those in need during the day.
The team will be participating in outdoor evening worship services with the host church. Scheduled to preach during these Spanish language services are Milton Aguila, Pastor Orlando Rodriguez (with interpreter), and Claudia Collado.
With their own air mattresses in tow, the team will be divided into two groups and staying with local families who, despite their own economic situations, have graciously opened their homes during their stay.
Saturday, April 3
Return to New York: Team travels back to Santo Domingo to board their flight back to New York. They arrive at JFK International Airport at 4:45pm.
