[Photo: Pastor Thomas F. Stimpson]Tom Stimpson has come to be known as a leader and mentor to so many - his path and his purpose have been a single, straight thread since his early adulthood. From the pulpit to the classroom, his focus has always been to equip and inspire people at all levels.

Tom’s childhood in 1960’s throughout the State of New York, along with the dramatic changes he experienced along the way, laid the foundation for a life and career of service to others. He professed his faith in Christ at the age of twenty, and by the time he was 24 he was intently focused on God’s call for his life, that of becoming a pastor. He married his sweetheart Elaine, earned his Bachelor's Degree at Zion Bible College, and moved to Poughkeepsie, NY to pioneer and pastor his first church. He is currently serving as the Senior Pastor of the Solid Rock Church of God, in New Windsor, New York.

In 1997, Tom was invited to participate in Barnabas Ministries, a ministry to other pastors in Africa, which became a growing avocation alongside his traditional pulpit ministry. He has trained ministers in Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Zambia, and South Africa.

Tom continues to seek new opportunities to equip and serve all leaders, but his greatest desire still is to demonstrate the hope and joy found only in salvation through Jesus Christ. Hearing God's call, and serving so many - at all levels, in all stages of life -Tom clearly demonstrates the power and effectiveness that can result when one man is guided and inspired by the greatest Leader of all. Tom Stimpson is a minister, an educator, a missionary, and a man of great integrity and godly character. He not only preaches integrity, he lives it! He is equipped to ignite in others, the flame of joy in serving God.
